Principal Software Engineer, IoT & Full-Stack

<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>5 years experience in IoT software, cloud integration or embedded systems</li><li>Strong skills in PLC, CAN, Modbus or similar protocols</li><li>Proficiency in API and cloud development (AWS/Azure, MQTT, WebSockets)</li><li>Knowledge of secure firmware updates and encryption (TLS, AES)</li><li>Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving start-up environment</li><li>Background in EV charging, energy storage or industrial automation is a plus</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Build IoT and cloud software for charger connectivity and monitoring</li><li>Create telemetry and data pipelines (PLC, CAN)</li><li>Enable secure remote control and bi-directional communication (MQTT/WebSockets)</li><li>Deliver OTA firmware updates and REST APIs (OCPP/OCPI)</li><li>Develop secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS IoT, Azure, etc.)</li><li>Collaborate closely with hardware and IoT partners to integrate systems end-to-end</li></ul>
