CAD Design Developer (2D/3D)
<p><b>Salary: £32,000 - 40,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>A high level of attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills</li><li>Proficient in 3D part modelling software (Inventor, Solidworks etc.)</li><li>Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD is desirable</li><li>Experience in tailoring designs for manufacture and managing projects from concept to manufacture</li><li>Knowledge of joinery manufacture and finishing techniques</li><li>Experience with other materials such as metal, acrylic, and print</li><li>Strong business acumen and commercial awareness</li><li>Relevant experience in events, exhibitions, or temporary installations is strongly desired</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Start with project briefings and client renders to understand design goals</li><li>Help scope solutions and determine the best methods for building stands considering timescales and budgets</li><li>Create 2D and 3D drawings for client approval</li><li>Adjust designs throughout the development of projects</li><li>Produce cutting lists, machining data, working drawings, and picking lists for the build team and suppliers</li><li>Specify, quantify, and order materials, and commission external specialist suppliers as needed</li></ul>
