Mid-Level Developer
<p><b>Salary: £45,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>3-4+ years experience in backend or full-stack web development</li><li>Strong experience with the Symfony framework</li><li>Knowledge of routing, services, security, dependency injection, and Doctrine</li><li>Experience with React and/or Next.js (or willingness to upskill)</li><li>Good understanding of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript</li><li>Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases</li><li>Familiarity with Docker and Git workflows</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Passion for writing clean, maintainable code</li><li>Experience working with AWS or cloud platforms (desirable)</li><li>Exposure to asynchronous processing (e.g., Symfony Messenger) (desirable)</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Develop and enhance APIs using Symfony (v5/6/7) and API Platform</li><li>Write scalable and secure backend logic following industry best practices</li><li>Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL</li><li>Build responsive UI features using React and Next.js</li><li>Use modern JavaScript (ES6+), hooks, state management, and functional components</li><li>Write unit, integration, and functional tests using PHPUnit and Jest</li><li>Follow PSR‑12, SOLID principles, and clean code practices</li><li>Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture sessions</li><li>Collaborate closely with other developers, product teams, and stakeholders</li><li>Use Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines for deployment</li><li>Work with Docker for containerised development</li></ul>
