<p><b>Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Previous experience of supporting IT and Audio-Visual hardware, software or services (1st and 2nd tier), ideally in an academic environment</li><li>Broad and deep knowledge of current IT technologies and their application in a Higher Education context or similar</li><li>Proven experience of working with people at different levels in a complex environment as well as building and maintaining working relationships</li><li>Knowledge of IT or hardware, including servers, desktop PCs, laptops and mobile devices</li><li>Knowledge of lecture capture systems such as Panopto, Crestron or Extron</li><li>Knowledge of online teaching/meeting systems such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom</li><li>An understanding of virtual learning environments such as Moodle</li><li>Experience of installing, using and administering one or more computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux</li><li>Confident user of Microsoft Office products and able to provide advice and support on these products</li><li>Experience of using email and calendaring software in a business or academic environment</li><li>Experience using systems like Active Directory, SCCM and Jamf</li><li>IT networking knowledge</li><li>Be self-motivated</li><li>Be able to work alone, in a team or with your peers</li><li>Have excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>Enjoy working in a customer-facing fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize effectively</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Lead 1st and 2nd line IT & AV support services, ensuring effective incident, request and change management</li><li>Oversee the installation, maintenance and lifecycle management of IT and AV equipment</li><li>Support digital teaching tools such as Moodle and Panopto</li><li>Lead small technical projects, managing risks and stakeholder communication</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in systems, documentation and service standards</li><li>Provide technical leadership across Windows, macOS and Linux environments, with working knowledge of networking, Active Directory, SCCM and Jamf</li><li>Support and advise on digital learning tools, including Moodle, Panopto, Xerte and PebblePad</li><li>Advise academic and administrative staff on e-assessment solutions (including video and audio), hybrid delivery and development of digital teaching materials</li><li>Take technical ownership of IT and AV systems across the Plymouth site, ensuring teaching, simulation and hybrid learning environments operate securely and to University of Bath standards</li><li>Work closely with academic, technical and DDaT colleagues to deliver hands-on engineering support and proactive system management, maintaining a reliable, high-quality user experience</li></ul>
