Systems Administrator
<p><b>Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Minimum 4+ years experience in an IT support or systems administrator role</li><li>Experience in administrating both Windows and Linux environments</li><li>Experience managing a Windows Active Directory or LDAP environment</li><li>Experience with hosting PHP / .NET web applications or MSSQL / MySQL / MariaDB databases</li><li>Understanding of network concepts such as layouts and TCP/IP</li><li>Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines</li><li>Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written to facilitate clear interactions with team members and users alike</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Manage and maintain modern server environments, encompassing both Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Ubuntu servers</li><li>Provide technical support to internal users and clients, promptly troubleshooting and resolving their issues</li><li>Participate in the on-call rota to address any service issues that may arise outside of normal working hours, with compensated overtime for any incidents responded during on-call periods</li><li>Administer physical and virtual devices including firewalls, SANs, switches, and routers</li><li>Configure and support a wide range of application technologies, including Virtual Machines, Hypervisors, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and Backup Software</li><li>Conduct regular tasks such as testing of system backups and disaster recovery solutions</li><li>Use existing tooling to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise</li><li>Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures</li><li>Deploy patches and system upgrades on servers</li></ul>
