Senior Backend Engineer - Leeds
<p><b>Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>5 years experience in backend or platform engineering roles, with recent experience at senior level.</li><li>Deep hands-on expertise with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.</li><li>Strong experience designing and deploying microservices and RESTful APIs.</li><li>Proven experience with AWS (EKS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Terraform).</li><li>Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and Infrastructure as Code.</li><li>Experience leading or influencing technical direction across multiple teams.</li><li>Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript) is beneficial but not essential.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Own and evolve the backend architecture for a large-scale software platform.</li><li>Work across multiple teams to ensure alignment and scalability throughout the business.</li><li>Set technical direction and contribute to key design decisions across teams.</li><li>Lead by example, writing high-quality, maintainable code in Node.js and TypeScript.</li><li>Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, improving automation, observability, and release processes.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with product and platform teams to deliver robust services.</li><li>Mentor and coach engineers, helping to raise the overall bar for backend development.</li><li>Drive best practices in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and API design.</li></ul>
