Senior Infrastructure Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>4-5 years in a similar senior IT/networking role</li><li>Strong expertise with Cisco routers & switches</li><li>Proficient in TCP/IP networking, firewalls (Fortinet), and IT security</li><li>Experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Hyper-V</li><li>Knowledge of Active Directory & Azure AD</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Intune</li><li>Support for Windows 10/11 & Apple devices (MDM/Meraki)</li><li>Experience with backup & disaster recovery solutions</li><li>Strong communication and customer-facing skills</li><li>SQL Server experience beneficial</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Design, implement, and support secure, scalable network solutions across multi-site customer environments.</li><li>Lead the delivery of network and core infrastructure projects, including new installations, upgrades, and migrations.</li><li>Manage and maintain on-prem and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.</li><li>Provide senior-level support for routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and WAN connectivity.</li><li>Administer and support Windows Server environments, virtualised platforms (Hyper-V), and associated services.</li><li>Support and optimise Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure, Azure AD, Office 365, and Intune.</li><li>Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and security; proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Implement and maintain security policies, patching, firmware updates, and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing remote and on-site support where required.</li><li>Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.</li><li>Work closely with senior management and other technical teams to define standards, policies, and best practices.</li><li>Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight to junior engineers and field teams.</li></ul>
