IT Specialist - Data Governance
<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Bachelors degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related field</li><li>Experience in data governance at managerial level</li><li>Strong expertise in data governance frameworks, standards, and data management processes</li><li>Experience with data governance and metadata tools (SAP desirable; Purview and Information Steward advantageous)</li><li>Proven ability to build and maintain data catalogues and metadata frameworks</li><li>Experience leading data audits, reviews, and remediation initiatives</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels</li><li>Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences</li><li>Experience within the food & beverage sector (desirable)</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable outcomes</li></ul>

<ul><li>Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures</li><li>Ensure governance standards align with organisational strategy and IT priorities</li><li>Support and guide Data Owners and Data Stewards in fulfilling their responsibilities</li><li>Define and maintain the enterprise data dictionary and metadata management standards</li><li>Lead data quality initiatives, audits, and governance forums</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in data integrity, security, and compliance</li><li>Promote a strong culture of data literacy and accountability across the organisation</li><li>Provide expert guidance on large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives</li><li>Develop technical standards, best practices, and documentation to support scalability and innovation</li></ul>

<p>We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist in Enterprise Data Governance to lead and advance our organisations data governance capability. This is a senior level role based in London with a hybrid work model (2 days per week in the office). You will play a central part in embedding sustainable data governance practices and ensuring that enterprise data remains a strategic asset.
