Research Engineer
<b>Requirements:</b>

<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Design, build, test and develop low TRL prototype systems and concepts</li><li>Plan and lead laboratory and field trials, acting as Trials Officer where required</li><li>Design scientific test plans and test serials to meet technical requirements</li><li>Select, configure and operate measurement and instrumentation equipment</li><li>Design bespoke test setups and systems</li><li>Write trials documentation including test plans, method statements and EHS risk assessments</li><li>Lead and participate in system integration, verification and validation activities</li><li>Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical and electrical systems</li><li>Develop bespoke test software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW) for modelling, data processing and analysis</li><li>Analyse and interpret data to identify meaningful trends and conclusions</li><li>Manage logistics, facilities, subcontractors and test locations</li><li>Engage with customers, stakeholders, engineers and research scientists</li><li>Contribute to bid and proposal activity, including technical solutions and effort estimates</li><li>Deliver work to agreed time, cost and quality targets</li><li></li></ul>

This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical implementation within a multidisciplinary applied technologies team.
