Data Architect
<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Significant experience in Data Architecture and delivering change</li><li>Subject matter expert on data architecture and implementation of data management initiatives</li><li>Proven success in providing deep Data architecture knowledge to large complex IT/Digital projects</li><li>Ability to undertake data profiling and source system analysis</li><li>Experience in evaluating, selecting, and onboarding architecture tools (LeanIX preferred)</li><li>Ability to develop and analyze data standards</li><li>Awareness of data alignment to end user needs</li><li>Responsible for assurance of data solutions and compliance recommendations</li><li>Proven experience in building effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Awareness of opportunities for innovation with new tools and uses of data</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Design data models at different levels: conceptual, logical, and physical</li><li>Define and maintain the data technology architecture, including metadata and data warehouse architecture</li><li>Provide guidance for the upgrade, management, decommissioning, and archiving of data in compliance with related policies</li><li>Support the Principal Data Architect to manage work packages through the enterprise architecture framework</li><li>Manage issues arising from the Data Management Strategy implementation</li><li>Take an active role in Architecture Governance to ensure system designs align with enterprise data architecture</li><li>Implement identified opportunities for consolidation and data management tools</li><li>Manage the plan for migration onto new data management platforms</li><li>Champion data architecture internally and through collaboration across the Council</li></ul>
