Citrix Subject Matter Expert (SME)
<p><b>Salary: £69,000 - 109,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Current, non-expired Citrix certification, including one or more of the following: CCA-V, CCP-V, or CC-V (latest versions only)</li><li>Proven experience as a Citrix SME or Senior Citrix Engineer</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Citrix ADC (NetScaler)</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)</li><li>Strong Windows Server administration skills</li><li>Solid understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls)</li><li>Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and profile management</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills</li><li>Advanced Citrix certification (CCP-V or CC-V) – preferred</li><li>VMware certification (VCP or higher) – preferred</li><li>Experience with cloud or hybrid VDI environments (Azure, AWS) – preferred</li><li>PowerShell or automation experience – preferred</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Act as the Citrix SME and highest-level escalation point</li><li>Design, implement, and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments</li><li>Administer and optimize Citrix ADC (NetScaler), StoreFront, Director, and Studio</li><li>Architect, support, and optimize VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter)</li><li>Lead platform upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management</li><li>Troubleshoot complex issues across Citrix, VMware, Windows Server, networking, and storage</li><li>Ensure performance, availability, security, and scalability of virtual environments</li><li>Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices</li><li>Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members</li></ul>
