Mainframe IBM zMQ Engineer

<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Min 5 years administration experience of IBM Message Queue (MQ) v9.x on z/OS</li><li>IBM MQ clustering experience</li><li>Operational experience using z/OS panels and MQ Explorer</li><li>Experience implementing and supporting TLS</li><li>Experience supporting and troubleshooting online systems</li><li>Strong diagnostic and analytical skills across complex technical environments</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Provide technical support across complex MQ environments to tight timescales</li><li>Deliver incident, problem and change resolution across critical systems</li><li>Drive delivery against the technology roadmap with key stakeholders</li><li>Enforce standardisation and support continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Collaborate across wider middleware teams to develop and implement processes</li><li>Deliver changes through RTL into production under governance independently</li><li>Ensure strict adherence to operational processes and procedures</li><li>Perform change and support activities outside business hours when required</li><li>Work with IT Security to maintain MQ product security</li><li>Maintain service stability, resilience and optimisation</li></ul>

The position offers hybrid working in locations such as Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax, or Manchester, with an expected day rate of £550 and potential involvement in out-of-hours deployments and migrations.</p>
