Data Center Asset Manager
<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong experience in asset management, particularly in lab environments</li><li>Proficiency in governance and operational control frameworks</li><li>Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records</li><li>Familiarity with hardware management platforms (Lenovo xClarity, Dell OEM tools, HPE Compute Ops Management)</li><li>Ability to coordinate between multiple teams and external suppliers</li><li>Understanding of audit, risk, and compliance processes</li><li>Strong communication skills for effective collaboration</li><li>Experience with project management and financial oversight</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Maintain complete and accurate records of all hardware and software assets across test lab environments</li><li>Oversee the full asset lifecycle, including allocation, reuse, and secure decommissioning</li><li>Ensure all lab usage is linked to approved funding, projects, or Clarity demands</li><li>Manage governance of environment and console access, ensuring permissions are approved, monitored, and removed when no longer required</li><li>Act as the primary point of coordination between lab teams, delivery programmes, PMO, finance, and vendors</li><li>Provide operational oversight and reporting to support audit, risk, and compliance requirements</li><li>Apply and operate within established enterprise governance and control frameworks</li><li>Maintain strong working knowledge of supplier hardware management platforms</li></ul>

<p>We are looking for a Data Center Asset Lead to take ownership of the governance and operational control of our clients lab environments in Leeds on a contract basis. This hybrid role is critical for ensuring lab assets, access, and usage are managed and auditable, aligning with approved funding and enterprise control standards. We offer a collaborative work environment where you will work closely with delivery teams, PMO, finance, and external suppliers to enable stable environments that support programme delivery while upholding operational discipline.</p>
