<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 75,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We are looking for a PostgreSQL SRE with the following qualifications:</li><li>Experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on PostgreSQL and similar database technologies such as Oracle or MS-SQL.</li><li>A background in implementing and leading SRE practices across large organizations or complex teams.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Containers and Kubernetes.</li><li>Familiarity with DevOps automation tools such as code versioning (git), JIRA, Ansible, and database CI/CD tools.</li><li>Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation/migration tasks.</li><li>Experience working with data migration tools and software.</li><li>Expertise in system configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible for database server configurations.</li></ul>

<ul><li>As a PostgreSQL SRE, your responsibilities will include:</li><li>Ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.</li><li>Analyzing and resolving system outages and disruptions, implementing measures to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Developing tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reducing manual workload and increasing efficiency.</li><li>Monitoring and optimizing system performance and resource usage, and addressing bottlenecks while implementing best practices for performance tuning.</li><li>Collaborating with development teams to integrate best practices for reliability, scalability, and performance into the software development lifecycle.</li><li>Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to our technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.</li></ul>
