Network Engineer

<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong experience with EVPN and VXLAN technologies.</li><li>Expertise in Cisco Nexus 5K and 9K switches.</li><li>Hands-on knowledge of Palo Alto firewall implementation, ideally with PA-3410 models.</li><li>Solid understanding of networking protocols and standards including BGP, OSPF, and multicast.</li><li>Experience with network management, diagnostics, and compliance tools.</li><li>Familiarity with network change management processes and procedures.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to learning and personal development.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Replace existing Cisco Nexus 5K ESM distribution switches with the new Nexus 9K platform across multiple data centres.</li><li>Complete the migration of Palo Alto PA-3410 firewalls from 'service leaf' to distribution switches.</li><li>Deploy new ESM infrastructure, including firewall virtual system provisioning, switch buildouts, patching, and operational administration.</li><li>Implement new VXLAN EVPN fabric networks, ensuring robust and scalable network architecture.</li><li>Provision and onboard new Palo Alto firewalls and F5 load balancers into the VXLAN EVPN fabrics.</li><li>Perform detailed environment analysis and maintain comprehensive documentation aligned to VXLAN design.</li><li>Participate in network change management activities including scope determination, pre-deployment testing, CAB meetings, implementation, testing, and documentation updates.</li></ul>
